Increase the security of your forms with Google reCAPTCHA
Protecting your website from malicious bots is essential to maintain its integrity and safeguard your data. The good news is that, with the integration of Google reCAPTCHA, you can easily enhance the security of your contact and booking forms. This way, you not only protect your website but also ensure that all interactions come from real users, preventing spam bookings from being submitted through your site.
What is Google reCAPTCHA?
Google reCAPTCHA is a security tool that can be integrated into Avantio websites to strengthen protection levels. It is implemented specifically in contact and booking forms to block bot access. This results in greater security for all the forms on your website.
Where is it implemented on the website?
It is implemented in contact, newsletter, and booking forms.
Steps for integration
Click Access to sign in using the email address you want to use to manage these settings.
💡 Recommendation: Use the same Google account you use for Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
Once you’ve signed in, you’ll see the following screen:
Go to the Overview section and click Register to get an API key pair.
You’ll then see a form like this:
Label:
Enter the name of the website where you want to add the captcha.Choose the type of reCAPTCHA:
Select v3.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do not select v2.
If you do, users won’t be able to complete bookings on your Avantio website. Please select v3.
Domains:
Enter your domain without the prefix.
For example, if your domain is “www.avantio.com”, you should enter “avantio.com”.If you have multiple domains, enter each on a new line, for example:
avantio.com avantio2.com avantio.com.local (this one allows us to perform tests and verifications)
Once you’ve filled out the form, accept the Terms and Conditions and register the captcha.
Keys required for configuration
After registration, you’ll see a page showing two keys provided by Google:
Site Key
Secret Key
Please do not send screenshots or images of this page.
Copy and paste the text of both keys and send them to us.
