Keep your web and email under control with complete peace of mind.

When managing a web and multiple email accounts, peace of mind is what you value most: ensuring the domain works correctly, emails don't end up in spam, and any changes are simple.

With Avantio, you can transfer the technical management to us or keep it with your current provider. In both cases, we guide you step by step to ensure everything is set up securely and effectively.

What options do you have?

1. Keep your domain with your current provider

You can continue using your domain where it is now. Only some technical configurations will be necessary for your web and email to work with Avantio.

2. Transfer domain management to Avantio

If you prefer to forget about the technical procedures, we can handle the configuration and maintenance:

  • Point the web to our servers when it's ready.

  • Install and renew the SSL certificate annually.

  • Manage domain renewal on its date.

  • Protect your email accounts' sending with Mandrill.

  • Create up to 10 accounts per domain if needed.

Costs:

  • €37 per year per domain.

  • €60 per year for SSL.

If you have multiple domains with the same name and different TLDs (for example, "companytourism1.com" and "companytourism1.es"), management and charges apply to each of them.

Step by step

To transfer domain management to Avantio

  1. Check the domain's age: at least 60 days must have passed since purchase or the last transfer.

  2. Unlock the domain on your current provider's platform. If you're unsure how, contact their support.

  3. Request the transfer code (Auth Code or Transfer Key) and send it to us. Remember, it expires in 3 days.

  4. Wait for confirmation: the transfer is usually completed within 7 days (in some cases, up to 10). We'll notify you when it's ready.

Attention to details

Transferring management to us does not mean transferring domain ownership. You can regain management at any time and at no cost.

To keep your domain with your provider and validate email with Mandrill

To ensure your emails don't appear as "[email protected]" and are properly authenticated, you must verify your domain in Mandrill:

  1. Create the indicated DNS records.

  2. Notify us when they're ready.

For more details, check this guide.

What exactly does Avantio management include?

  • Point the web to our servers when it's online.

  • Installation and annual renewal of the SSL certificate.

  • Domain renewal on the established date.

  • Email configuration with anti-spam protection via Mandrill.

  • Creation of up to 10 accounts per managed domain.

Attention to details

Avantio does not offer the option to manage a domain that points to an external server

Set up your Avantio domain email in Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird

Avoid errors and connect your email easily.

If you manage your domain with Avantio and want to use your email on platforms like Gmail (personal accounts), Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail (iOS/Mac), or Mozilla Thunderbird, you might see a warning like: "Unable to verify the server's identity."

Don't worry: this message is common and can be resolved by updating the incoming and outgoing server settings in your email client.

Before you start

If you want to manage your accounts with Google Workspace (G Suite) or Microsoft 365 (Office 365), do not follow this guide. In that case, you should contact our Customer Support Team or your Web Project Manager (if your project is still in development).

Recommended configuration

  • Incoming Server – IMAP (recommended)

  • Host/Server: panel247.

  • User: your full email address

  • Password: your email account password

  • Port: 993

  • Security: SSL

Helpful Tip

IMAP syncs your emails across all devices. If you delete or archive a message on one, the change is reflected on all.

Incoming Server – POP (not recommended)

  • Host/Server: panel247

  • User: your full email address

  • Password: your email account password

  • Port: 995

  • Security: SSL

Pay Attention to Details

POP downloads emails to a single device and can cause duplicates or loss of sync.

Outgoing Server – SMTP

  • Host/Server: panel247

  • User: your full email address

  • Password: your email account password

  • Port: 587

  • Security: SMARTTLS

  • If port 587 doesn't work:

  • Alternate port: 465

  • Security: SSL/TLS

Step by Step: How to Set Up Your Account

  1. Open your email app (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird).

  2. Go to Configuration > Add account.

  3. Enter your full email address and password.

  4. Select manual setup (IMAP recommended).

  5. Enter the incoming server details (IMAP or POP).

  6. Enter the outgoing server details (SMTP).

  7. Save the changes and perform a send/receive test.

Common Errors

  • Incorrect password: use the email account password, not the Avantio panel password.

  • Lack of security: make sure to enable SSL/TLS or SMARTTLS.

  • SMTP issues: if port 587 doesn't respond, use 465 with SSL/TLS.

Quick Checklist

Before finishing, check:

  • User = full email address.

  • IMAP set up on imap.panel247.com, port 993, with SSL.

  • SMTP set up on smtp.panel247.com, port 587 (or 465), with SMARTTLS or SSL/TLS.

  • You've tested sending and receiving a test email.

With this configuration, your email will work without errors and you can manage it from your favorite app. Always choose IMAP if you want to keep your messages synced across all your devices and remember to try the alternate port if you have issues with SMTP.

Can I use this guide for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

No. If you use those services, contact Avantio Support for specific configuration.
