Manage Sales Closures and Boost Your Direct Channel in Channel PRO

Control when and where to receive bookings, optimize your sales strategy, and direct travelers to your web effortlessly. Sometimes, focusing demand on your own booking engine is the smartest decision: you reduce costs, avoid overbooking, and offer a more direct experience to your customers.

🔹What is a Sales Closure and What is it For?

The "Sales Closure" module allows you to block the sale of your accommodations on specific portals during the periods you choose. This means those portals will not receive availability for the selected dates, preventing travelers from booking during that interval.

Useful for:

  • High seasons, when your priority is to receive bookings directly from your web.

  • Special events that require maximum availability on your own channel.

  • Sales strategies aimed at optimizing commission costs or customer experience.

Google does not appear in the list of portals because bookings managed from this platform are channeled directly to your web. It is not necessary to apply a closure on Google.

⚙️Set Up Your First Sales Closure: Step by Step

  1. Access the section: in the left side menu of Channel PRO, go to "Stay Rules" and select "Sales Closure."

  1. Choose a portal: select the portal where you want to apply the block.

  1. Add a closure period: click "Add" to create a new rule.

  2. Select the dates: indicate the date range. You can add multiple periods as needed.

  3. Define the accommodations: apply the closure to all your properties or only to those you wish.

  4. Save the changes: click "Save" and review the summary of blocked periods.

If you have already set up a closure on a portal and want to replicate it on others, use the "Copy Closure" button. This allows you to duplicate the date configuration in seconds.

🔹Main Benefit

With sales closures configured, you have a powerful tool to manage your distribution strategically. Now you can direct traffic to your web when it suits you best and maintain complete control over your channels.

Next step: review the rest of your "Stay Rules" to ensure availability and prices are optimized across all portals.

Quick checklist for sales closures:

  • I selected the correct portal.

  • I defined the exact blocking period.

  • I chose the accommodations to which the rule applies.

  • I saved the changes.

  • I reviewed the blocked periods on each channel.

🔹Frequently Asked Questions

  • To which dates does the block apply?

The closure applies to the travel period. For example, if you block September, travelers will not be able to book stays for any date in that month on the selected portal.

  • Can I apply a sales closure to only some accommodations?

Yes. You can choose to apply it to all properties or manually select the affected accommodations.

  • Do I have to create the blocks portal by portal?

No. Set up one and then use the "Copy Closure" function to replicate the configuration on the other portals.

  • Can I set multiple closure periods for the same portal?

Yes, you can add as many periods as you need for the same portal. You just have to click "Add" and set up new dates within the same rule.
