If you already work with Marriott, it won't be possible to link your existing account and properties when activating the portal in Channel PRO. Due to a Marriott limitation, you would need to create a new account before making the connection.

I work with long minimum stay periods to avoid instant bookings. How will this affect synchronization with Marriott?

There are cases where companies configure some or all periods with a long minimum stay. This is usually done to avoid instant bookings and to receive only requests during these periods. With Marriott, there is a limitation that means we can only send the minimum stay up to 365 days. If a longer minimum stay is configured, we will only send 365 days.

Additionally, depending on the booking configuration set in Channel PRO, we can send the minimum stay for requests or the minimum stay for instant bookings.

In the example shown below, a minimum stay of 9 nights has been set for all bookings, but all stays of less than 550 nights have been configured to be under request. Therefore, this sets:

With the minimum stay configured this way, we will send the following to Marriott, always depending on the booking configuration set:

As you can see, with any configuration that includes instant booking, the value configured for instant bookings will be sent. In the case of selecting requests (email only), the minimum stay will be sent under request.

Therefore, it is important to note that if you work with the minimum stay under request, you should configure the bookings as requests (email only), otherwise the minimum stay for instant bookings will be synchronized.
