Connect your properties with TripAdvisor and boost your visibility
If you want your accommodations to reach millions of travelers worldwide, TripAdvisor and its partner portals are the gateway. With a single connection, you'll not only appear on TripAdvisor but also on Flipkey, Niumba, and Holiday Lettings. More bookings, more exposure, and a global community of travelers at your fingertips.
🔹A universe of travelers at your fingertips
By integrating your properties with the TripAdvisor group, your inventory will be displayed on some of the most influential vacation rental portals. Each platform has its own audience, and combining them amplifies your booking opportunities:
TripAdvisor: the global benchmark for travel reviews, with millions of users planning their vacations based on other travelers' opinions.
Flipkey: over 170,000 vacation rentals and 150 million monthly visits, ideal for increasing your global visibility.
Niumba: leading portal in Spain, with over 100,000 properties and 2 million annual bookings.
Holiday Lettings: Niumba's version for English, French, and Italian-speaking markets, with over 400,000 accommodations in 160 countries.
Helpful tip: create a single calendar to centralize your bookings and avoid conflicts between portals.
🔹Pay attention to the details: booking management
It's important to note that bookings made through these portals are not automatically added to your VRMS system.
You will receive an email from TripAdvisor with each booking or information request, but you must register them manually to keep your calendar updated.
Listing accommodations:
TripAdvisor does not allow accommodations to be listed in shared galleries. Each property must appear individually and not grouped.
Surroundings and distances:
TripAdvisor does not recognize attractions located less than 100 meters from the accommodation. Therefore, from your TripAdvisor account, you can mark these descriptions as “NO” and manually add the correct distance (greater than 100 m). This information will no longer sync from Avantio, although we will continue to send it to portals that do accept this data.
Descriptions:
The only text that TripAdvisor will publish is the one configured in English within the VRMS. Descriptions in other languages will not appear on their website.
⚙️Step by step: how to prepare the connection
Before activating the synchronization, complete these steps with TripAdvisor:
Contact TripAdvisor
If you're new: complete their sales form so a representative can start the process.
If you already work with them: inform your contact that you will connect through Avantio.
Formalize the commercial agreement
The technical connection is free, but you need an agreement with each group portal you want to use.
You can negotiate the commission directly with TripAdvisor: per accommodation, per lead, or per confirmed booking.
Activate the connection
Once TripAdvisor confirms everything is ready, enter the key you will find in the channel configuration section in Avantio.
You will see the synchronization activated in your list of connected channels.
With a single connection, your properties gain international visibility, access to millions of travelers, and the opportunity to receive more bookings. Before activating it, make sure you meet the requirements and have the commercial agreements in order.
